Work Productivity and Activity Impairment questionnaire, general health version. All questions refer to the past 7 days. Useful for documenting the work and daily-activity burden of inflammatory arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis.

Interpretation

Absenteeism = hours missed due to health / (hours missed due to health + hours actually worked) x 100.

Presenteeism = Q5 / 10 x 100.

Overall work impairment = absenteeism + ((1 - absenteeism) x Q5/10), expressed as a percentage.

Activity impairment = Q6 / 10 x 100, and is reported for all patients including those not in paid work.
